Wake up as early as 6:00 AM for your early morning breakfast. You will be met by your tour guide from African Safari Tour Holidays. The safari guide will brief you about the 5 day trip before you start your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, western Uganda. You will have a stop at the Equator on Masaka road, and lunch break in Mbarara city. As you approach the park, take a detour to visit the twin lakes before continuing to your reserved lodge. Check-in, then connect for an evening game drive in the park. An evening game drive gives you an opportunity to explore some of the available animals, say the elephants, warthogs, waterbucks; you may spot the tree climbing lions, leopards, and hyenas. Thereafter, return to your lodge for your dinner and overnight sleep.
Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and then embark on a morning game drive and lion-tracking experience in the Kasenyi area. Immerse yourself in the thrill of wildlife exploration as you savor the early hours of the day. This is an exciting time to see these tree climbing lions at a relatively close range. There are plenty of opportunities to spot other wild animals such as the antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks and many others. In the afternoon, you will return to your lodge for lunch. Afterwards, you will go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, where you will get an opportunity to see a number of exciting bird species, elephants, buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles on the lake shores. Return to your lodge to relax before your dinner and sleep.
After savoring an early morning breakfast, gracefully check out of the lodge as your attentive tour guide transports you to the captivating Kasese district, where the majestic peaks of Mt. Rwenzori awaits your admiration. Upon reaching your destination, smoothly complete the check-in process at your prearranged lodge, relish a delightful lunch, and unwind for the remainder of the day, preparing yourself for the adventures that lie ahead. Conclude the evening with a sumptuous dinner and enjoy a tranquil overnight stay, enveloped by the allure of your scenic surroundings.
Wake up early to indulge in a delicious breakfast, making sure that all your hiking gear and attire are properly prepared. Meet your safari driver who will guide you to meet the park authorities. You will head to the foothills of the mountain. It is here where you will start climbing up from about 1,450 meters to Sine Hut which is about 2,680 meters high. This is where you will spend the night. The journey will either be via the Rwenzori Central circuit or Kilembe trekking route. Hiking starts early from the valley floor through the tall forest trees of the montane forest zone. As you hike, you will spot birds and some primates like the black and white colobus, the blue, and the L’Hoest monkeys or even chimpanzees. The ground along this route is covered with incredibly beautiful flowers, bamboo thickets, fungi, low shrubs, moss and lichens. There are also vines hanging on tall trees. You will arrive at the Sine Hut which is about 2,680 meters. You can sit and relax as you enjoy the view of the montane forest and the refreshing sound of the nearby Enock’s falls. You will have dinner and stay overnight at this site.
Wake up early and enjoy your delicious breakfast, preferably a hot cup of tea or coffee. Afterwards start your descent back from Sine hut. Meet your safari guide who will be waiting to receive you. Set off for Kampala via Fort portal – Kampala road with a pause for lunch. After 6-7 hours on the road, you will reach Kampala/Entebbe. Your guide will drive you to your hotel or drop you off at Entebbe airport for your departure flight.
