Upon arrival you will be met by an African Safari Tour Holidays representative who will give you a briefing and then transferred to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. This journey takes you through picturesque countryside with terraced hills and wrapping roads. You will arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon hours for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast, carry your packed lunch and drive to Kinigi park’s headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking experience. Following the briefing you will be divided into groups of 8 individuals and each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and also an experienced park ranger guide to accompany you while trekking. This trek offers you the chance to fully immerse yourself in an unusual yet intimate area of the rainforest, where you can hear the chattering of the rare golden monkey, the live calls of colorful birds, and the fresh scent of the mountain's elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. After a long and exciting day of activities, enjoy your leisurely lunch at the lodge and an evening relaxation.
With your previous gorilla trekking experiences still fresh in your mind, you will then drive to Kigali for a city tour where you will visits  markets Kigali Memorial genocide center to learn more about the history about 1994 genocides in Rwanda. Following the city tour you will drive to your overnight accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Following an early breakfast, you will travel to Rwanda's Butale region to visit the Kings' Palace. You will be given an overview of Rwanda's rich cultural heritage and the country's history of monarchy, upon arrival. You will also visit the National Museum before spending the night back in Kigali accommodation.
After an early morning breakfast you will embark on your journey back to Kigali. You will have lunch along the route at one of Rwanda’s local restaurants and taste Rwanda’s local food. After lunch you will drive to Kigali international airport to catch your flight back to your home country.
