On this 3-day safari, you will have the opportunity to explore the diverse habitats of the park, from open savannahs to lush wetlands, each offering a unique birding experience. As the sun rises on your first day, you will be greeted by the cheerful songs of the park's resident bird species.

Upon arrival, you will be met by a tour guide from African safari tour holidays who will pick you up from Entebbe airport and brief you on the safari, and then begin your journey to Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda. You will have a lunch stopover at Equator crossing. You’ll snap some pictures, shop for mementos, and then head to the park, stopping along the way to see different bird species. After arriving, you will check into the lodge, refresh, and get ready for an evening game drive during which you will see a variety of animals, birds, and the sunset, among other sights. You will head back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following the wildlife drive.
After breakfast you will meet your safari birding guide and transfer to the park headquarters to get an armed park ranger to embark on your nature walk safari. The park offers a variety of trails that you can take to observe different bird species, including the red-shouldered cuckoo shrike, white-winged tit, Nubian woodpecker, emerald spotted wood dove, red faced barbet, African finfoot, rufous bellied heron, white-winged warbler, speckled moosebird, yellow fronted tinkerbird, ruppells long-tailed starling, red-chested cuckoo, Madagascar bee-eater, spot flanked barbet, red-necked francolin, crested francolin, and broad-billed roller, among others. Following the nature walk, you'll take a quick game drive to see a variety of animals, including warthogs, zebras, giraffes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, impalas, and several bird species like the grey crowned crane, grazing by the roadsides. You will go to the lodge for lunch after the game drive. You will embark on an incredible boat ride on Lake Mburo following lunch. It offers fantastic views of various aquatic bird species, including the rare shoebill stork, rufous bellied heron, African fish eagle, cormorants, pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, white-backed night herons, giant kingfishers, and water thick knee, among others. Following the boat ride you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.  
On the final day of your 3 Days Bird Watching Safari in Lake Mburo National Park you will have breakfast before embarking on your journey back to Kampala. You go for a morning drive where you will be able to spot some bird species you might have missed on the previous day. During the drive you might be able to observe predators like hyenas and leopards as they return from long night hunting. Following the game drive you will return to Kampala in the evening and you will be dropped off at the airport or any designated location of your choice.
