The 7 Days Best of Uganda Rwanda Safari is a cross border adventure that takes you to witness some of the best Uganda has to offer in terms of a safari. This safari offers a perfect blend of wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and breathtaking natural beauty. The 7 Days Best of Uganda Rwanda Safari starts with a visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a haven for the magnificent and critically endangered white rhinos.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by African Safari Tour Holidays safari guide then begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park in the northern section of Kampala. The drive to Murchison Falls National Park takes around 4 to 5 hours, with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Following the rhino tracking, you will continue the journey with an en route lunch in Masindi town. After lunch, you will continue your journey to the park, where you will check in at the lodge, have dinner, and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast this morning, your safari guide will pick you and transfer to Buligi Game Track for the early morning game drive. During the game drive, you will observe number of wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, warthogs, and antelopes, among other creatures. You will travel back to the lodge after the game drive, enjoy lunch, and refresh for an afternoon boat cruise. You will embark on a two-hour afternoon boat excursion on the River Nile following lunch. You can see a variety of creatures throughout the boat journey, including water birds, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes, and elephants on the water's edge. The boat will proceed to the base of the falls, where you may enjoy breathtaking views of the cascade and choose to embark on a 45-minute climb to the top of the falls. You will experience breathtaking views and water splashes while hiking, among other things. The hike is hard, so you should be physically fit. When you reach the top of the falls, you will meet your safari guide and proceed back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will depart from the lodge, rendezvous with your driver guide, and continue your journey towards Kibale National Park. Its 9 hours’ drive from Murchison falls to kibale national park, the journey is rewarding with breathtaking views of Rwenzori ranges, Lake Albert, Lake Edward, and Lake George, as well as the Rift Valley. You will eat lunch en route and make stops along the road to take pictures and stretch your legs. You will reach the park in the later afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.
After a leisurely breakfast this morning, you will meet your driving guide at the Kanyachu Visitors Center for a briefing about rules and regulations of chimpanzee tracking. Following the briefing, you will be divided into six groups and given a chimpanzee trekking group and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the chimps and different trails in the forest. In Kibale Forest National Park, chimpanzee trekking can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on where they are located. You will have one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat, where you may record films and take lots of photos with a flash less camera while learning more about their habits and way of life, watching them eat, and playing in the trees. You will hike back to the Kanyachu Visitors Center, where you will meet your safari guide, and then drive back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, you'll take a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland, where you can interact with the locals and enjoy breathtaking views of various bird species, including the great blue turaco and papyrus gonolek, as well as primates like the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys, and red-tailed monkey. Following the walk you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Following breakfast, you will depart the lodge, meet your driver guide, and make your way to the impenetrable national park of Bwindi. You will pass through Mbarara and stop for lunch at the Arcadia Lodge Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale on route. You will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after lunch; you will check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and overnight.
Today will begin with an early breakfast, have your packed lunch, and then transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, you will be divided into groups of eight and assigned a gorilla family to trek accompanied by an experienced park ranger guide. People are grouped based on their age, interests, and level of physical fitness. If you are not physically active, you should talk to your safari guide to be assigned to a gorilla family that is close to your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes 2 to 8 hours and offers spectacular views of vegetation, tree species, bird species, and other primates. Once the gorillas have been located, you will be permitted to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, learning more about their lifestyle, behaviors, taking photos with a flash less camera, and recording videos, among other things. After meeting the gorilla family, you will return to the starting area, where you will be given a certificate for participation in gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, meet your driver guide, and proceed to the lodge for late lunch. After lunch you will embark on your journey to Kigali city where you will spend the night.
On this day, you'll get up, eat breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your safari guide for a city tour. Throughout the city tour, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn more about the bloodstains left by the 1994 Rwandan genocide; craft markets, where artisans create paintings and sculptures; the Kimironko local market, where you will interact with locals selling a variety of goods, souvenirs, fruits, vegetables, and handcrafted items like mats and baskets; and cultural sites, such as the Kandt Museum of Natural History. Following these stops, you will enjoy a buffet at the Hotel des Mille Collins or any other hotel in Kigali. Following lunch, your driver guide will transport you to Kigali International Airport for your next departure.
