The 9 Days Uganda Gorilla, Golden Monkey, chimpanzee & Wildlife Safari Uganda itinerary combines all the adventures to Uganda’s top National Parks. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will take you through the stunning landscapes of Uganda, known for its diverse wildlife and lush rainforests. Venture into the dense forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will have the rare opportunity to trek through the dense forest in search of the majestic mountain gorillas.
Upon your arrival, Meet our company safari guide and proceed to Lake Mburo, you will make a stopover at the Equator crossing, where you can spend some time taking pictures and performing an experiment. Following the experience proceed on your way to the park reaching there towards lunch time. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the lodge before departing for an evening game drive where you will witness numerous wildlife animals such as herds of zebras, Impalas, elands, giraffes among others. Following the game drive your safari guide will drive you back to your lodge for dinner and overstay.
Following an early breakfast, meet your safari guide and depart for a morning game to view the early morning risers such as lions and leopards coming from long night hunts, incredible melodies of bird species, zebras, and giraffes among others. Following the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch before heading for an afternoon boat cruise where you will explore a variety of wildlife species such as crocodiles, hippos and different bird species like Fish Eagle and the rare shoebill stork. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay following the boat excursion.
Today after an early breakfast check out of your lodge and make a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover in Kabale town for lunch; you will then proceed to Kisoro, with stunning views of Kabale rolling hills. You will reach the park in the later afternoon; unwind as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.
On this day after a leisurely early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters, where you will be briefed by park ranger guides on rules and regulations about gorilla trekking safari. Before departing at the lodge, request for your packed lunch because the trekking can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours. Following your briefing, you will set out on your gorilla trekking adventure with ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas. Depending on the gorillas' movements, this could take anywhere from two to eight hours. You will spend an hour with these gentle giants after you locate them. Return to the start location, where your safari guide will be waiting to take you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Today after an early morning breakfast, drive and transfer to Mgahinga National Park which it’s an hour drive. Upon arrival you will go for a briefing at the park’s headquarters about rules and regulations on golden monkey tracking. Following the briefing you will be allocated a golden monkey group to track and armed park rangers who are well conversant with the forest trials. Just like gorillas when you allocate the golden monkeys you are permitted to spend an hour with them taking pictures, recording videos for monuments about your Uganda safari. This activity takes about 2-5 hours depending on the movements of them because they like moving in quest for food. Following your golden monkey experience you will trek back to the starting point and find your safari guide to embark on your transfer back to the lodge for lunch before departing on your batwa cultural tour.
Following lunch you will embark on a batwa nature walk, you will be accompanied by an experienced batwa guide with great knowledge about the area. He will take you through their former homes, palaces where you will experience the ancient life of living. You will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay after the tour.
Today after breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Kasese district. On your way to the park you are welcomed by great views, rolling landscape, evergreen savannah among other attractions. You will reach the park in the afternoon hours and have lunch. The rest of the day will be free for relaxation and if you wish you can visit the crater lakes.
After a leisurely breakfast this morning, you will depart your lodge to get ready for the early game drive in the Kasenyi sector, where you will look for early risers. The park's ecosystem is diversified, with grassy plains, rivers, crater lakes, woods, wetlands, and lakes. These are home to a variety of wildlife species, including the Big Four. A game drive in Queen Elizabeth will reward you with sightings of a number wildlife creatures, including lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and other antelope species. After lunch you will go for 2 hours in the afternoon along Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. You will witness numerous animals drinking at the water's edge and also encounter the highest concentration of hippos in the world.
Today you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge with your pack lunch and head to Kalinzu forest for a chimpanzee tracking safari. You will be accompanied by park ranger guides and trackers during this experience. You will also see several bird species as well as primates such as black and white Colobus monkeys and olive baboons. This takes roughly two to five hours in the forest. Once you locate them, you will spend an hour with them, during which you may see them rolling on tree limbs and making pant-hooting cries. After lunch, head back to the lodge to relax for the evening.
After having breakfast, drive out of the park and make your way back to Entebbe or Kampala. After eating lunch in Mbarara, drive to Entebbe to catch your flight home. It takes roughly 6-7 hours to drive this distance.
