Murchison Falls National Park, located in the northwestern part of Uganda, is the largest national park in the country. The park is named after the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges 43 meters down, creating a thunderous roar and a spectacular sight to behold. The park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, and a variety of antelope species. Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in the southwest of Uganda, is another must-visit destination for wildlife safari lovers. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including savannah, forests, wetlands, and lakes, which provide habitats for a wide variety of wildlife. Visitors to Queen Elizabeth National Park can expect to encounter elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and an impressive array of bird species. One of the park’s highlights is the opportunity to take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where visitors can observe large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles, as well as a myriad of birdlife.
