Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport you will be met by an African Safari Tour Holidays representative who will give you a briefing about your 4 Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Safari and then take a city tour of Kigali. During the city tour, you will visit the main city market, the genocide memorial center, the former presidential palace, and a souvenir shop. Following the city tour, you will begin the four-hour drive through Rwanda's breathtaking countryside—verdant rolling hills and plantations—to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will reach the park in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge, have dinner and an overnight stay.
Get up early, eat breakfast, and proceed to the park's headquarters for a briefing about rules and guidelines of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be divided into groups of 8 individuals and each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and an experienced park ranger to accompany you in the jungle. Gorilla groups are allocated based on level of fitness, age, health and among other factors. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National park starts at 8:00am and lasts for 2 to 8 hours depending on their location. Once the gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend an hour with them, where you will have a chance to take pictures, record videos as well as observing them going through their daily activities. After an hour with them you will trek back to the starting point and meet your driver guide to embark on your way back to the lodge for some downtime dinner and overnight stay.
Following an early morning breakfast, check out of your lodge and meet your safari guide to embark on your journey to Rwanda’s Volcanoes national park. Along the way you will be rewarded with stunning views of evergreen savannah and rolling landscape. After lunch, you can take a nap at the lodge as you prepare for a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village. You will spend the afternoon watching traditional dance performances or dressing up in traditional robes for photos. After the cultural tour you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Get up early, eat breakfast and carry your packed lunch to transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a briefing about rules and regulation on gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, you will be divided into groups and each group will be allocated a gorilla group to trek and an experienced park ranger guide to accompany you while trekking. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park starts at 8:00am and lasts for 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once the gorillas are allocated you will be allowed to spend an hour with them where you will have a chance to take photos, record videos and also observe them as they go through their daily activities. After an hour observing these gentle giants you will trek back to the starting point and meet your driver guide to embark on your journey to Kigali international airport to catch your flight back to your home country.
