This 5-day wildlife and birding safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park is an adventure that will leave nature enthusiasts awe-inspired. Nestled in the western region of Uganda, this park is a true haven for wildlife and bird lovers alike. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by the breathtaking landscape of sprawling savannahs, lush forests, and shimmering lakes that serve as the backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

Upon arrival you will be picked by a tour guide from African Safari Tour Holidays at Entebbe airport to start your drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. On the way, you will stop at the Equator crossing for photographs and souvenirs before continuing on to Mbarara town for lunch. Following lunch, you will go to the park, where you will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding area, locals, crater lakes, and tea plantations. After arriving, you'll take an evening game drive in the park, where you can see a variety of wildlife and bird species, including African mourning doves, pygmy kingfishers, martial eagles, sacred ibis, and common squaco heron. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following the wildlife drive. 
Following breakfast, Carry a packed lunch and meet your tour guide for a trip to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in the southern section of the park for a full day birding excursion. While in Ishasha you will be able to spot various bird species like double toothed barbet, broad billed roller to mention but a few. On this excursion you will also have an opportunity to witness a number of wildlife species such as the famous tree climbing lions, leopards, Zebras, impalas among others.
Today after an early breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from your lodge and transfer to Kasenyi plains for morning game drive. The drive will reward you with Great views of various animals and birds, including the brown snake eagle, hooded vulture, palm nut vulture, bateleur, lappet faced vulture, and long crested eagle. Following the drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch you will take a boat cruise at Kazinga channel. You will be able to see a variety of aquatic birds while on the boat ride, including the African mourning dove, black-headed gonolek, yellow-backed weaver, swamp flycatcher, grey-headed kingfisher, and pygmy kingfisher. You will also be able to see large groups of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, as well as buffaloes, antelopes, and elephants. You will return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay following the boat ride.
Following an early breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch transfer to Maramagambo forest which is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will be grouped and assigned an experienced bird guide who will accompany you into the forest for bird watching experience. You will go through many trials where you will see a variety of bird species such as the dark-capped yellow warbler, fawn-breasted waxbill, sulphur-breasted bush shrike, snowy headed robin chit, Rwenzori turaco, and white naped pigeon, among others. You will also encounter various primates species like chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, baboons to mention but a few.
On the final day of your Birding safari, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your tour guide to depart back to Kampala. You will stop for lunch along the way and then continue on to Kampala. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at a location of your choice.
