Tour highlights  Pick up and Kigali city tour Bird in Nyabarongo and Nyarutarama Bird watching in Akagera National park Morning birding in Akagera National park and transfer back to Kigali Bird watching in Bugesera Valley and departure

Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport you will be picked up by a representative from African Safari Tour Holidays who will give you a briefing about your 5 Days Best of Rwanda Bird watching safari. Depending on your arrival time you will embark on a brief city tour visiting Kigali Genocide Memorial Center were you will learn more about the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. Following your city tour you will drive to your Kigali accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Following an early breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to the Nyabarongo River Wetland. You will enjoy witnessing numerous bird species that call the Nyabarongo River Wetland home, among them includes Madagascar Squacco Heron, Papyrus Gonolek, Carruthers' Cisticola, White-winged Scrub-Warbler, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Sharpe's Pied Babbler, and Northern Brown-Thrat Weaver. Following lunch, you will drive to Nyarutarama artificial lake for more bird watching experience. Along the banks of the lake, you will come across numerous bird species, including paradise flycatchers, pygmy kingfishers, black egrets, grey-capped warblers, African fish eagles, black kites, swifts, swallows, winding cisticolas, and many others. Following your birding excursion at Nyarutarama you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will drive through acacia and papyrus greenery to Akagera National Park for a full day bird watching safari where you will encounter an array of bird species, including African open bill stock, African darter, water thick-knee, lesser kestrel, Carruther's and Tabora Cisticolas, White-winged and Broad-tailed Warblers, Miombo Wren-Warblers, Black and White Chats, Red-faced Barbet, Bennetts Woodpecker, Papyrus Gonolek to mention a few. You will drive back to the lodge to have lunch. Following lunch you will drive back in the park to witness numerous bird species as they prepare for their overnight rest. After a full day birding excursion you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. 
Following an early breakfast, you will drive through the Akagera National Park for another bird watching experience. During this game drive you will witness a variety of stunning birds through the park, including the African open bill stock, African darter, water thick-knee, Sauza's shrike, Arnot's chat, long-tailed cisticola, great snipe, lesser kestrel, shoe bill stork, grey crowned crane, and among others. You will also see a variety of wildlife animals in the park, including zebras, antelopes, buffalo, giraffes, leopards, and elephants. Following the game drive, you will embark on your way back to your lodge for lunch, check out, and then make your transfer to Kigali, where you will arrive in the evening hours. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast you will dive to Bugesera Valley where you will spot numerous bird species among these includes papyrus gonolek laniarius mufumbiri, papyrus canary crithagra koliensis, white-winged swamp, warbler Bradypterus carpalis, and white collared oliveback nesocharis ansorgei among others. Following your birding at Bugesera Valley you will depart for Kigali to Kigali international airport to catch your flight back to your home country.
