Upon your arrival at Entebbe International airport you will be picked up by a representative from African safari Tour Holidays who will give a briefing about your10 Days Best of Uganda Rwanda Wildlife, Chimpanzee and Gorilla Safari and then embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park. You will stop for lunch in Masindi town en route as you enjoy stunning sceneries along the way. Upon arrival at the park you will head to the top of the falls for magnificent views of wildlife and bird species. Following the top of the falls experience you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up very early, have breakfast and then meet your safari guide to depart for morning game drive in Murchison falls national park. During the game drive, you will witness numerous wildlife species such as lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, and bird species such as Egyptian plover and bee-eater, among others. Following the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.  Following lunch, you'll embark on an exhilarating two- to three-hour River Nile boat cruise, which departs from Paraa Jetty at 2:00 pm. Enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding vegetation, wildlife, and aquatic animals, including hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs drinking by the banks of the water. Bird species that can be seen during the boat cruise include saddle-billed storks, African jacanas, African fish eagles, and malachite kingfishers. The boat continues to the base of the falls, where you can get off and choose to go on a guided hike to the top of the falls. It will take approximately 45 minutes to reach the summit of the hike, which requires physical fitness due to its strenuous nature. When you reach the top, you will meet up with your driver guide and head back to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Following breakfast, you will depart the lodge, meet your safari guide, and make your way to southwest Uganda for visit to the primate capital of the world, Kibale national park. The national park is well-known for being home for approximately 13 different primates, including monkeys, baboons, and chimpanzees. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch en route, along with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area, the Rwenzori Mountains, Lake Albert, Lake Edward, and Lake George, as well as homesteads and tea plantations. Upon your arrival at the park you will check in  your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will meet your safari guide at the Kanyachu Visitors Center for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. Following the briefing you will be divided into a group of 8 individuals and each group will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek and an experienced ranger guide who is well conversant with forest trials. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park starts at 8:00 a.m. and lasts for 1 to 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimps because they like moving from one location to another in search of food. During the trekking you will have a chance to witness other primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys to mention a few. Once the chimps are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to learn more about their habits, lifestyles, and behaviors, as well as take photos and record the moments to show people back home after the safari. Following your hour-long experience with the chimpanzees, you will hike back to the park headquarters, where your driver guide will be waiting for you to embark on your journey back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park; you will reach the park in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.
Following an early breakfast, you will meet your driver guide for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will have great Views of a variety of animal species, including buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, warthogs, lions, elephants, kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, red-chested sunbirds, and white-winged warblers. Following the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. After lunch, you'll take a boat ride through the Kazinga channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel is an exciting activity that begins at approximately 2:00pm at a landing site near Mweya safari lodge and lasts approximately 2 hours. During the boat excursion you will enjoy breathtaking views of a variety of water birds, including martial eagles, papyrus gonoleks, pelicans, African skimmers, cormorants, African spoonbills, fish eagles, and kingfishers, as well as animal species like hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, and others along the water banks. Following the boat ride, you will drive to the park, meet up with your driver guide, and go on an evening game drive. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following the game drive.
Following an early breakfast, you will depart the lodge, meet your driver guide, and begin the approximately 4-hour drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will travel through the Ishasha sector in the southern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will witness the tree climbing lions, lying high in the branches of fig and acacia trees and gazing at the antelopes. Following your game drive in the Ishasha region, you will eat lunch before continuing on to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in Buhoma Sector, check into the lodge, have dinner, and spend the night.
After an early morning breakfast, carry your packed lunch and drive to the parks’ headquarter for a briefing about gorilla trekking experience. Following the briefing, you will be divided into groups of 8 individuals and each group will be assigned an experienced ranger guide to accompany while in the forest. These groups are allocated according to level of physical fitness, age, and health. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park starts at 8:00am and last for 1 to 8 hours. During your trek, you will be able to see primates such as L'hoest monkeys, baboons, bird species, and plant species, among others. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to learn more about their lifestyle, habits, and behaviors, as well as take photos and record videos. After the one-hour gorilla encounter, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will be awarded a certificate for your participation in gorilla trekking. After the trekking you will trek back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, check out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park, passing through the Cyanika border. You will enjoy breathtaking views of Rwanda's undulating hills, as well as various landscapes, farmlands, and homesteads along the route. After traveling for three to four hours, you will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in, have dinner, and spend the night.
Following an early breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and drive to the parks’ headquarters for a briefing about do and don’ts of gorilla trekking experience. Following the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and an experienced park ranger guide to accompany. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park lasts between 1 and 6 hours and depending on the location of the gorillas, and once they are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat. Following your incredible encounter with the gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters, meet your guide, and drive to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Following an early morning you will meet your safari guide and drive to the parks’ headquarters for a briefing about guidelines and how to behave during golden monkey trekking. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a park guide who is well conversant with the forest trails to accompany you while in the jungle. Once they are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, learning about their behaviors, habits, and lifestyle while taking pictures and recording videos. Following lunch, you will embark on a cultural tour through the nearby community, visiting the Ibyi'wacu cultural village. You will have the chance to experience Kinyarwanda cuisine, locally brewed beer made from bananas, take part in traditional performances like Kinyarwanda dance, and enjoy entertainment including music, theater, and storytelling during the cultural tour. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight after the cultural tour.
On the final day of your 10 Days Best of Uganda Rwanda Wildlife, Chimpanzee and Gorilla Safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your safari guide and transfer to Kigali for the city tour and departure. During the city tour, you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial site, where you will learn more1994 Rwanda genocide. Following your city tour you will transfer to Kigali International Airport to catch your back to your home country.
