The 10 Days Best of Cultural Safari takes you on a breathtaking journey through the heart of Uganda. This immersive experience takes you deep into the vibrant and diverse cultural heritage of the country, offering a unique opportunity to interact with local communities and gain a deeper understanding of their traditions and way of life. From the bustling markets of Kampala to the remote villages nestled in the lush countryside, each day of this adventure promises to be filled with unforgettable encounters and eye-opening discoveries.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our tour guide who will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport and give you an overview of your culture safari. It takes roughly eight hours to get to Bwindi by car. En route, you will make a stop at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping before heading into Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, you will continue traveling and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area, the Kigezi Hills, plantations, terraced farmlands, and more. You will check into the lodge when you arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will spend the night and have dinner.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for a Batwa cultural experience. You will visit a Bakiga house to learn about how the Bakiga people built their houses in the past, and then you will visit a nearby granary to see Batwa life and learn about hunting techniques and how the kings and locals lived. Additionally, you will be able to observe the Bakiga people preparing coffee in the traditional manner, from the coffee beans to the final product. You will also learn how to build a fire and prepare the traditional dish kalo. Other experiences include brewing your own local beer and watching the Batwa perform traditional dances while they beat drums and chant songs. You'll return to your lodge for dinner and the night after the cultural experience.
Today your guide will come to pick you from the lodge following breakfast. You will embark on your journey to Kampala. You will make a stop at the Igongo Cultural Center, where you will learn about the Ankole way of life. You will visit the Eriijukiro museum to learn more about Banyankore culture. You will embark on your journey to Kampala where you will have dinner and night stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll start your cultural tour of Buganda. You will travel to Mengo to view the Kabaka's palace. There is a specific function for each of the palace's four gates. You will also visit the Kasubi tombs, where the Buganda kingdom's kings are buried. After exploring the tombs, you can participate in a cooking class to learn how to prepare the Luwombo dish, a traditional Buganda dish cooked on banana leaves. You will be taught how to prepare the dish by the local women. After the tour, you will be driven by your tour guide back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll embark on your journey to Kidepo, in the northeastern region of Uganda. After a nine to ten-hour drive, you will pause for lunch in Gulu town. You will reach the park in the evening hours.
Following breakfast, your guide will drive you to Mount Morogole, where you will get a chance to interact with the Ik tribe. The Ik are the smallest tribe in Uganda. You will be treated to breathtaking views of the area. You will also learn about the Ik's hunter-gatherer lifestyle. You'll hike back down to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after your visit.
Following breakfast, your guide will take you on a cultural tour, which will include a stop at the Dodoth community. The Dodoth are Karamojong who have settled in the Kaabong region. Following your encounter with the Dodoth, you will travel to Kotido by car for three to four hours. You will visit the Jie community and have lunch in Kotido. Following your visit to the Jie, you will drive to the lodge check in have dinner and a night stay.
After breakfast at the lodge, your guide will take you to the traditional cattle market.  The market is only open on Wednesdays and is where people go to sell and buy cattle. You'll also drive to Moroto and stop for lunch. On this day, you will have the option of spending the night in a kraal.
After breakfast, you'll also visit a Karamojong village to learn about their culture and lifestyle. You will interact in traditional games, learn how to prepare basic foods, see local art and crafts, gain insight into the Karamojong way of life, and enjoy traditional dance performances. Following a full day culture tour with the Karamojongs you will embark on your journey back to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
Today marks the end of your 10 Days Best of Cultural Safari Uganda. You will wake up at your leisure, have breakfast and then embark on your journey back to Kampala. Have a stopover in Gulu town for lunch as you explore the dry savannah of the area. You will reach Kampala in the early evening hours and upon arrival you will be dropped at your Kampala hotel for dinner and night stay.
