On this 8-day fly-in safari to Kidepo Valley National Park and Murchison Falls National Park safari, you will be mesmerized by the remote beauty and vastness of Kidepo and sighting of the Iconic Murchison Falls. As you soar above the savannah, you will be greeted with breathtaking views of vast savannah plains, rugged mountains and also witness herds of elephants, giraffes, and zebras roaming freely.
Upon arriving at Entebbe International Airport, you will board a domestic flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon landing, you will be driven to the lodge, where you will check in and eat lunch. After lunch, go on an afternoon game drive to see numerous wildlife species such as leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, and elephants, among others. You will drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will go to Narus Valley for a morning wildlife drive. Narus Valley is most famous for harboring wildlife species like buffalo’s antelopes, zebras, elephants, giraffes, and bird species. As the sole permanent water source, numerous animals visit Narus Valley to drink and graze. It is home to the world's largest buffalo herds, which can never be found in anyplace else on the planet. There's a good chance you'll see big cats hunting as well. With luck, you might also see the endangered cheetahs. After lunch and some downtime at the Lodge, head back to Narus Valley for an evening game drive to see animals you missed in the morning game drive. You will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to Narus Valley for an additional game drive to spot species that you may have missed on the previous two game drives. It will be your pleasure to use one of the park's observation sites with binoculars. Following the game drive, return back to the lodge to have lunch and brief relaxation. Then you'll go to Kidepo Valley to view the hot springs, which is located on the Uganda-Sudan border, and, if you're lucky enough, you will witness the endangered giant ostriches that live here although there have been severely poached by Sudanese. This side has seasonal rivers, so be prepared for some interruptions during the rainy season. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
While in Kidepo Valley National Park, a visit to the community is highly recommended due to its distinct culture and dancing, which will enhance your whole experience. The Ik communities congregate in fenced-in villages to keep off wild animals and outsiders. You will learn about their dancing as well as their culture, and you will have the opportunity to purchase their local goods. You will visit the Manyatta, or Karamojong homesteads, in the afternoon. You will be able to engage with the elderly here and learn more about their way of life and culture. Here, you can support their social welfare by contributing any form of donation. We integrate our visitors in their daily operations, such as milking and grazing cows, as part of our sustainability tourism practice. Following breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip to catch your domestic flight to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have en route game drive before lunch through the park's northern region, sometimes referred to as Para, where you may witness a variety of species and, with any luck, you can see big cats hunting. You will embark on an evening game drive after lunch to have a chance to observe more wildlife species and also a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and night stay following the drive.
Following an early breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive to witness morning riser, this is also the ideal time to witness predators from the hunt. Among the many animals you can see are antelopes, hippos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and much more. If you're lucky that day, you might also see big cats hunting. After the game drive, go for an afternoon boat cruise on the bottom of the majestic falls. You will get the opportunity to see various aquatic birds on this boat excursion, wildlife species like crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and other land creatures that come to drink water here. After the excursion, return to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
After breakfast, you will depart from the lodge with picnic Lunch and transfer to catch the morning boat at the Jetty point. You can see numerous herds of buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Jackson's Hartebeest, giraffes, elephants, and other wild species that swarm the River Nile in search of water while on this boat sail. Not to mention the numerous bird species that can be seen while on the boat. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Following an early breakfast, you will return to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home. This will mark the end of your Uganda safari.
